Overview
Medical professionals use medicines , surgery and other treatments to help reduce the symptoms and effects of a disease. Sometimes these treatments are cures — in other words, they get rid of the disease. Basically two approaches are adopted to treat an infectious disease: to reduce the symptoms and to kill the causative organism of the disease.
Bacterial infections are treated with antibiotics . Viral infections are usually treated with supportive therapies, like rest and increased fluid intake and antivirals . Infections with other micro-organisms are treated accordingly. Also, we must take precautions to prevent spreading the infection to other healthy people .
After all ,we all know that “Prevention is better than cure “.
In Elitecare Hospital, we have facility to provide treatment to patients with acute and chronic infectious diseases .
